The Babcock House is the number one restaurant for elegant dining in Appomattox, Virginia,
and the surrounding region. The wonderful creations of our staff are

BREAKFAST: A full gourmet breakfast is
included with your room rate. Specialties include the Babcock House famous
Creole crab omelet, blueberry pancakes, stuffed French toast, breakfast
meats, fresh fruits and juices, and piping hot coffee. Meals are always
served on tables set with crisp linen tablecloths, with china and silver,
in keeping with the era and elegance of the house. Fresh cut flowers are
provided year round. We promise you will not go away hungry! Please try to
give us advanced notice of special dietary requests so that we may try to
accommodate your needs.
LUNCHES: Our restaurant is open
to the public for lunch, Tuesday through Friday and Sunday’s. Take out
lunches are also available for guests any day of the week. We also have
available for our guest a romantic picnic lunch complete with wine and an
old fashioned picnic basket for those special occasions when you may want

DINNER: Elegant candlelight
dining is available Tuesday through Saturday by reservation
only.
Evening meals will
feature elegant fare. Meals will include such items as rack of lamb, hand
cut steaks/chicken dishes, Roast Duck and much more. If you have a favorite
dish that you want prepared, we will be happy to do so. An excellent
selection of beer, wine, and mixed beverages are available. We promise an
exquisite dining experience with the proper ambiance required for that

CATERING: The Babcock House
offers full Catering services and is available for weddings, receptions,
cocktail parties, brunches, birthdays, conferences and business meetings,
seminars, family reunions, luncheons, dinner parties and special requests
on and off premises.
A small intimate dining room is also available for a romantic dining
experience for two people or a small party up to eight.
Our seating capacity is 60 inside more available on deck.
